Nithari killings: Death row convict Surinder Koli pleads meeting mother for one last time


Bhaskar News | Sep 10, 2014, 21:11PM IST New Delhi: After getting Supreme Court’s reprieve for a week Surinder Koli, a convict in the infamous Nithari case, has pleaded meeting with his 62-year-old mother who lives alone in Almora. Koli’s mother has said that Moninder Singh Pandher, his former employer, is equally guilty in the Nithari killings and he should be hanged along with her son.
Bhaskar News image: Surinder Koli and his mother Kunti Devi She learnt about her son’s execution only on Monday after a tehsildar and police officials visited her residence with the death warrant of her son. 42-year-old Surinder Koli has been awarded death sentence by the Indian apex court for killing 14-year-old Rimpa Halder at a bungalow in Nithari in 2005. As many as 19 girls are feared to have been raped and killed at the same bungalow. Koli confessed to having sex with corpses and also eating their body parts.
