Jaipur: Man Sentenced to Death for Girl's Murder

By Express News Service Published: 30th August 2014 06:00 AM Last Updated: 30th August 2014 04:48 AM JAIPUR: Additional District and Sessions Judge of Jajpur Rohitlal Panda on Thursday announced death sentence to one Banabehari Behera alias Haria (35) on charges of murdering a 17-year-old girl. After examining 21 witnesses, the Judge convicted the accused for brutally hacking the girl to death. The hearing of the case concluded on Wednesday. Haria of Nipania village under Tomka police limits had developed weakness for Biswakalpita Behera alias Reni of the same village. But Reni, studying Plus Two in Rekutia College in Keonjhar district, rejected Haria’s proposal to develop relationship. Feeling insulted, Haria hacked the girl to death on April 26, 2013.
