According to official sources on Thursday, Muragesh, hailing from Tamil Nadu was undergoing jail term after he was awarded death sentence by a Sessions Court, Chamarajanagara in 2015 on charges of brutal murder of five people, including a 8-year-old girl in Hrale village in Chamarajanagara district.
